Biography
2018: Led the Miners with a .362 average, while belting two home runs and knocking in 21…had 51 hits and scored 22 times…had 16 games with at least two hits, including a four-hit outing against Southern Indiana and three-hit performances against Central Missouri and Drury…homered in wins over UCM and Truman State.
2017: Played in 16 games with nine starts during the season…batted .200 in 30 at-bats with a double and two runs batted in…also scored five runs…had his RBI against Drury and Quincy.
2016: Was redshirted for the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played catcher and at both corner infield positions at the high school level, where he played for a state championship team as a senior...earned all-conference and academic all-state honors during his high school career...was a .349 career hitter with a .451 on-base percentage...hit .350 as a junior with 24 runs batted in. He also recorded a .447 on-base percentage and a .513 slugging percentage with 11 doubles and two triples in 31 contests...struck out only five times in 80 at-bats in 2014.
PERSONAL: Son of Michael and Ann Lira...majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
