Biography
2018: Threw in 19 games and finished with a 1-1 record and 3.20 earned run average…had 16 strikeouts in 19.2 innings of work…was the winning pitcher in his only start of the season at McKendree…struck out four in a relief outing at Truman State.
2017: Landed a key role in the Miner bullpen during the second half of the season…finished with three saves and a 6.10 earned run average…appeared in 16 games and was charged with runs in just four of those outings…had a season-high three strikeouts in his longest outing of the year of 2 2/3 innings against St. Edward’s…recorded seven strikeouts during the year as opponents hit just .167 against him.
2016: Was redshirted for the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a pitcher at the high school level...played for the Ontario Blue Jays in summer ball and recorded a 10-0 record last summer with a 1.65 earned run average in 72 innings...threw three shutouts in 10 starts during the season.
PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Becky Martin...majoring in chemistry at Missouri S&T.
