Biography
Returning starter in the midfield... she currently ranks tied for eigth in assists with 11 and is 10th in points with 35... she sits right outside the top 10 with 12 goals...as a junior she scored three goals and had three assits finishing the year with nine points... all three of her goals came in the final weekend of the season... she scored twice, including the game winner in the 3-0 win over Saint Joseph's on Oct. 22... scored the game winner against Indianapolis as well on Oct. 24... for her efforts she was named the GLVC Player of the Week for Oct. 18-24... as a sophomore she appeared in 14 games, eight starts...led the team with five goals and was second with her three assists...her 31 shots were fourth on the squad...her 13 points were second highest on the team...had a goal and an assist in back-to-back games at Upper Iowa and against Lewis...appeared in 16 games, with 11 starts as a freshman...led the team in shots with 33 and was tied for second in goals with four and assists with five...also third on the team in points with 13...had a goal and an assist in her first collegiate game at Ashland...scored the game winner at Emporia State in overtime...was an honorable mention all-state selection following the 2007 season in Missouri Class 2 while also earning all-region and all-district honors…led her team in scoring as a junior…was a part of the Missouri Olympic Development program and has played club soccer with the Carrera Soccer Club for coach Paul Pitchford…ranked in the top 10 percent of her academic class at Helias.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Patrick and Mona Young…attended Helias High School…majoring in architectural engineering.
