2011: Finished as the Miners’ leading hitter during his first year in an S&T uniform, batting .347 with a team-high 33 runs batted in, to earn third-team All-GLVC honors…hit .484 in the month of April, going 31-of-64 during the month with 22 runs batted in…batted .385 in GLVC contests during the season…had the Miners’ longest hitting streak of the year of 12 games, which covered a good portion of S&T’s school record 10-game winning streak in the latter half of the season…had 18 multiple-hit games during the season, including five three-hit games…drove in at least two runs on 10 occasions, including four-RBI showings against Rockhurst and Oakland City…threw out 19 of the 46 runners who attempted to steal on him.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at Marshalltown Community College, where he batted .321 with a home run and 21 runs batted in during the 2010 season…was his team’s fifth-leading hitter during the season…also stole six bases.

PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Debbie Caffrey…majoring in architectural engineering.
