Biography

2018: Earned significant playing time during the year as he made 19 starts and played in 30 games…batted .275 with eight runs batted in and three stolen bases…recorded three assists in the outfield…had three hits and three runs batted in during a victory over Quincy.

2017: Appeared in seven games and had 10 at-bats during the season…made two starts, both in right field.

2016: Was redshirted for the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hit .381 with 40 runs scored during his senior year at Liberty High School...was named to the Missouri Class 5 all-state team as an honorable mention choice following the 2014 season, when he was also an all-conference selection in the Big 6 Conference.

PERSONAL: Soin of Jeff and Sue Volkmann...older brother, Nathan, is a senior on the 2017 Miners...majoring in electrical and computer engineering.
