Alex Dunn is in his second season on the Miner coaching staff and will work with the pitchers during the 2013 season.

Dunn was a four-year member of the Miner pitching staff, where he made 63 appearances during that span.  He posted a 7-9 career record, including a 4-4 mark in his senior year after moving into the starting rotation.  His 2011 season, one in which the Miners won their first Great Lakes Valley Conference’s West Division title and qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament, was highlighted by a complete game performance at King College when he allowed only one hit.

Dunn posted the Miners’ best earned run average in 2010 with a mark of 2.57.  His 63 pitching appearances rank fourth on the Miners’ all-time list.

Dunn, who is from Independence, Mo., graduated from Missouri S&T in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and is currently attending graduate school at S&T.
