2022: Saw action in 18 games with 14 starts at first base and as the designated hitter...Batted .255 with a double, home run and 11 RBI...First career home run was a grand slam against Southern Indiana (4/30)...Went 1-3 with three RBI against UMSL (3/20)...Went 1-2 with two RBI against Illinois Springfield (4/22)...Went 2-5 with an RBI and a run in a win in the season finale against Quincy (5/8)...Named to the GLVC All-Academic Team...Named a GLVC Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout the year.

2021: Saw action in one game, driving in a run against Drury...named to the GLVC Academic All-Conference Team.

2020: Appeared in five games and had two hits in six at-bats (.333 average)...had hits in two separate games against Davenport...Named to the GLVC All-Academic Team.

AT MCKENDREE: Was part of the McKendree squad during the 2019 season but did not appear in a game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-time all-district performer at Franklin High School, where he hit .418 in his senior year…also batted .367 as a junior and .410 during his sophomore campaign.

PERSONAL: Son of Jason and Erica Gastelum…majoring in biological sciences at Missouri S&T.
