Biography
Earned All-America honors from the NSCAA and Daktronics following the 2010 season...was selected to the second team by the NSCAA and honorable mention by Daktronics...was a first-team all-region selection on both squads...named as the GLVC's "Defensive Player of the Year" for the 2010 season after finishing with a 0.67 goals against average in 1,484 minutes of play and an S&T single season record nine shutouts...ranked seventh in NCAA Division II in goals against average and 12th in save percentage...did not allow a goal in four straight appearances twice and eight times in a nine-game stretch...had a shutout in S&T's first GLVC Tournament victory last season against Bellarmine...had 60 saves on the year...named to the All-GLVC team as a sophomore at the goalkeeper position...was a third-team selection to the squad a year after earning the GLVC's “Freshman of the Year” award...finished the 2009 season with a 1.11 goals against average and four shutouts...made 53 saves in 1,375 minutes of playing time...posted a 0.97 goals against average in 1,581 minutes of playing time as a freshman and 94 saves, all marks that ranked among the leaders in the GLVC…set the Miners’ single-season record with seven shutouts, five of which came in conference play…had a streak of 353 minutes without allowing a goal during the course of the year…posted a season-high 10 saves to help S&T earn a tie at Bellarmine…had nine saves during the Miners’ GLVC Tournament game against eventual NCAA Division II semifinalist Northern Kentucky…was redshirted in 2007…was an honorable mention all-metro and all-conference selection as a high school senior in 2006…posted a 0.77 goals against average in 2006 for the Griffons with eight shutouts for a team that finished fourth in Missouri Class 3…also posted a 0.91 goals against average with eight shutouts in his junior year when Vianney finished second in the state tournament.
Personal: Son of Tim and Deb McNamee…older brother, Mike, held the career shutout record for the Miners that was broken last season; he played from 2004-07…attended Vianney High School…majoring in business and management systems.
