Biography
2010: Appeared in 11 games and started in six…finished with a 1-4 record, earning his win over Arkansas-Monticello…had 28 strikeouts in 32 innings of work, with a season-high five strikeouts against Northwest Missouri State and Truman State.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis and posted a 5-2 record and 4.99 earned run average in 2009…struck out 36 and walked 18 in 57 2/3 innings of work as a sophomore after fanning 36 in 34 innings as a freshman when he was 3-2 with a 2.64 ERA.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Duchesne High School, where as a senior he went 6-1 with a 1.08 earned run average and averaged nearly 10 strikeouts per seven innings…also hit .333 with 21 runs batted in to earn first-team all-conference honors.
PERSONAL: Son of Steven and Deborah Johnson…majoring in mechanical engineering.
