CAREER BESTS & RESULTS

2022: Named as the GLVC's Freshman of the Year after finishing second in the decathlon, fifth in the javelin throw and being part of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished fourth at the GLVC Outdoor Championships...recorded a season-best 6,203 points in the decathlon at the conference meet...also had a season-best throw of 175-1 in the javelin at that meet to earn his fifth place finish...finished sixth in the heptathlon at the GLVC Indoor Championships...was part of S&T's 4x400-meter relay team that placed seventh at the conference's indoor meet...had top indoor marks of 4,362 points in the heptathlon and 8.55 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.

2024: NCAA Division II qualifier in the decathlon, where he finished 14^th at the national meet…established a new school record in the event at the Harding Last Chance meet with 6,921 points…captured the GLVC championship in the decathlon with 6,702 points as he had the best mark in three events and second-best in three others…set a personal best in the indoor heptathlon with 5,031 points at Pittsburg State…had a career-best time of 6.88 seconds in the 55-meters at Southeast Missouri State…member of College Sports Communicators Academic All-America second team and Academic All-District team…member of GLVC All-Academic team.

2025: Earned All-America honors with a sixth place showing in the decathlon at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships…set a new school record with 7,333 points and established personal bests in five of the 10 events during the competition (shot put, 400-meters, discus, pole vault and javelin)…qualified for the national meet after breaking his previous school record at the Jo Meaker Classic and Multi at West Texas A&M…set his personal best in the 110-meter hurdles in that meet…won the heptathlon competition at Principia during the indoor campaign…member of GLVC All-Academic team.

Personal: Attended Spring Hill High School…son of Randy and Kolette Knittel…majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
