Biography
2008-09: Earned three All-America awards during the national meet, with his best finish being a tie for sixth place in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a school record time of 15:32.66…placed 13th in the 1000-yard freestyle and 15th in the 500-freestyle for honorable mention All-America honors…had top times of 4;33.37 in the 500-free and 9:25.01 in the 1,000-free…also swam in the 200-freestyle at nationals and posted a mark of 1:42.50 at that meet…took fourth in the 1,000-freestyle and seventh in the 500-freestyle at the NSISC meet.
2007-08: Earned All-America honors with a seventh place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the NCAA Division II Championships…recorded a time of 15:45.39 in the event at the national meet, setting a personal best in the process…took 13th in the 500-yard freestyle and 14th in the 1,000-yard freestyle for honorable mention All-America status…was the runner-up in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the NSISC Championships and later added a third place showing in the 500-freestyle.
2006-07: Earned a pair of All-America awards in his first season at UMR…finished in 11th place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:16.58 in the finals…had his best time of the year in that event at the NSISC Championships when he finished second in 15:53.65…also ended up 14th in the 1,000 in 9:42.32; his best time was 9:31.18 at the conference meet when he took second as well…was part of the Miners’ winning 800-yard freestyle relay team at the NSISC meet and also finished fifth in the 500-yard freestyle.
PERSONAL: Son of Eric and Becky Trowbridge...was a four-year state qualifier in the state of Texas...finished seventh in the state meet in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.01 and ninth in the 500-freestyle with a time of 4:38.63 in the consolation finals as a high school senior...majoring in mechanical engineering.
