Biography

2009-10: Had a pair of top-eight finishes at the NCAA Division II Championships...took sixth place in the 200-yard breaststroke and added an eighth-place showing in the 400-yard individual medley...best time of the year in the 200-breaststroke was 2:02.83, while the top mark in the 400-IM was 4:00.11 at the national meet, which was also the Miners' best time of the season...also competed in the 200-IM and had a time of 1:52.93...finished as the NSISC runner-up to teammate Zlatan Hamzic in the 200-breaststroke; had his top time in the event at nationals...was fifth in the 400-IM and ninth in the 200-IM at the NSISC meet.

2008-09: Won All-America honors in the 200-yard breaststroke with a seventh place finish at the NCAA Division II Championships…recorded a season-best 2:03.96 at nationals for his award…also gained honorable mention All-America honors in the 400-yard individual medley, where he was 15th in a personal-best 4:00.50…competed in the 200-individual medley at the national meet…was the NSISC runner-up in the 200-breaststroke to meet and eventual national champion Zlatan Hamzic from Missouri S&T…finished eighth in the 200-IM at the NSISC meet…best time in the 200-IM was 1:54.49.

2007-08: Came in third place in the 200-yard individual medley at the NSISC Championships…made the provisional national qualifying mark in both individual medley events as well as the 200-yard butterfly, where he was also third in the NSISC.

PERSONAL: Son of Mark and Marsha Lemons…won three individual state championships in Arizona, winning the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard breaststroke and anchored the 400-yard freestyle relay at the 2006 state meet…was a part of the 200-yard medley relay that took third…won the 100-breaststroke while finishing second in the 200-IM and anchoring the 400-freestyle relay team that placed fourth in his junior year…majoring in aerospace engineering.
