Biography

Returner who will seek the starting quarterback role in the 2009 season...named to the Great Lakes Football Conference’s all-league first-team at quarterback a year ago...started in the first nine games of last season but did play in all 11 contests...broke the S&T single-season record for completion percentage as he connected on 68.5 percent of throws, completing 161 of 235 for 1,848 yards and 17 touchdowns...was named as the GLFC’s “Player of the Week” after a 17-of-19 performance against Kentucky Wesleyan that included 12 straight completions to start the game; combined with Brad Guidry to complete the Miners’ first 21 pass attempts...threw three touchdown passes on four different occasions...had a season-high 380 yards passing against Butler and finished with 403 yards of total offense...was 20-of-28 for 279 yards and three scores in the win over Saint Joseph’s...received a medical hardship after the 2007 season after missing the entire year due an injury suffered prior to the season opener…was a two-year starter at Joliet who finished the 2006 season as the ninth-ranked passer at the junior college level, completing 133 of 241 passes for 1,768 yards and eight touchdowns…was an honorable mention all-state selection as well as a first-team all-area pick at quarterback at the high school level. 

Personal: Attended McCutcheon High School, where his coach was Kevin O’Shea…junior college coach was former UMR quarterback Tom Minnick…son of Jerry and Kim Schleuter…majoring in mechanical engineering.
