Three-year starter on the defensive line…earned pre-season honorable mention All-America status in NCAA Division II by Consensus Draft Services for the 2010 season…earned first-team All-Great Lakes Football Conference honors for the second straight season after finishing with 43 tackles from his defensive tackle spot…led all Miner defensive linemen in tackles…was the GLFC’s "Defensive Lineman of the Year" in 2008…finished the season with 31 tackles, six tackles for a loss and five sacks…recorded a season-high seven tackles at Truman State…had five stops, including three for a loss, in the win over Evangel…posted 23 tackles, including nine solo stops, during the 2007 campaign…recorded four tackles on three separate occasions…was redshirted in 2006…was a first-team all-district selection in District 9-4A in Texas and earned first-team honors on the McKinney Courier-Gazette team...was also a second-team pick on the all-county team....served as a member of the school’s branch of the National Honor Society and earned the Rotary Club Academic Excellence award in all four years of high school.
