Named to the Great Lakes Football Conference’s all-league second team in 2007…finished the year with 53 tackles, including a team-high five sacks, from his defensive end position…also made 10.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage…had 10 tackles, four tackles for a loss and a sack against Central State…scored two
touchdowns during the year, one on a return of a blocked punt at Butler and the other on a 21-yard interception runback at Tiffin…worked his way into the starting lineup over the course of the 2006 season at defensive end…led the team with seven tackles behind the line of scrimmage as part of his 29 stops for the year…also had 3.5 sacks and two pass breakups…had two sacks against Butler and a season-high five tackles at Morehead State…lettered as a redshirt freshman when he finished with 11 tackles (eight initial stops) with two forced fumbles and three tackles for a loss...earned first-team all-conference honors on the defensive side of the ball as a high school senior...was a two-time all-area selection and also earned academic all-state honors.
