2016: Second-team All-GLVC selection...finished second on the team and fourth in the GLVC with nine wins on the mound…finished 9-5 with a 4.61 earned run average…has struck out 56 hitters in 84 innings with a career high of 10 at William Jewell on April 23…threw a nine-inning, complete game shutout April 16 in the opening game of a series against Truman State, allowing just three hits…was the winning pitcher in S&T’s win over Alderson Broaddus at the NCAA Midwest Regional with seven shutout innings…win was S&T’s first in the NCAA Tournament since 2011…allowed no earned runs in four of his 14 starts.

2015: Appeared in 13 games, including one start during his freshman season at S&T...was 0-1 with a 3.47 earned run average and two saves...recorded the saves in wins over Missouri-St. Louis and William Jewell...threw a season-high 3 1/3 innings in the UMSL game in which he got the save with a season-high four strikeouts...fanned 14 hitters in 23 1/3 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-area and all-conference honors as well as honorable mention all-district following a 2013 season in which he went 7-0 with a 0.81 earned run average in 43 1/3 innings of work. As a sophomore, he posted a 6-2 record with a 2.40 earned run average and fanned 51 hitters in 46 2/3 innings, including a three-hitter in a win over the state's third-ranked team...for his career, posted a 17-3 record with a 1.34 earned run average and 141 strikeouts against 41 walks. 

PERSONAL: Son of Paul and Cathy Borek...majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
