Kankee Community College - Catanese appeared in 18 games last season going 10-3 with a 2.27 earned run average in 72 innings of work. She had a strikeout ratio of 6.31 per seven innings and a walk ratio 2.3 per 7 innings. Her strikeout-to-walk ratio was nearly 3-to-1. She allowed 83 hits for the season. Her freshman year she was 5-1 with an ERA of 1.66 in 14 appearances before suffering a season ending injury. She struck out 33 batters while issuing only nine walks in 42 innings of work.

Addison Trail High School - Played for head coach Becky Remus where she was a pitcher and an outfielder. Catanese was a three-time all-conference selection and was an honorable mention all-area selection her senior season.
