Biography

2008: Started in 33 of the 36 games he played in…finished with a .282 average hitting mainly out of the leadoff spot…drove in 13 runs and stole 11 bases on the year…had six multiple-hit games with three-hit performances against Northern Kentucky, Drury and Missouri Southern….recorded a season-high three RBI in a win over SIU Edwardsville…drew a team-high 26 walks and posted a .432 on-base percentage…committed only one error in 60 chances in the field.

2007: Batted .313 in the 14 games he appeared in…made four starts in the outfield…had two hits and a run scored against Wisconsin-Parkside…drove in a run against Truman State…did not commit an error in the field during the season.

2006: Redshirted for the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year varsity letterman at Blue Valley High School...named to the Eastern Kansas League's first team and the All-Sun Country second team as a utility player...selected honorable mention all-state...also earned scholar-athlete honors from the Eastern Kansas League.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 9, 1986 in Parsons, Kan....son of Bruce and Joan Vance...majoring in mechanical engineering.
