Biography

2008: Finished the season as one of the team’s leading hitters…posted a .340 average with three home runs and 29 runs batted in…had 14 multiple-hit games during the season with six three-hit contests, the most on the squad…also drove in two or more runs in five games, with a season-high three against Truman State in one of his three-hit games…had 10 hits over a four-game stretch early in the season…batted .315 with runners in scoring position and .346 with runners on base…was a good clutch hitter as he posted a .360 average with two outs and a .550 mark with runners on third and less than two outs.

2007: Was one of the Miners’ top hitters and run producers during the season…hit .269 with a home run (vs. Quincy) and 20 runs batted in to tie for the team lead…also had seven doubles and a triple as well as 19 runs scored…had 11 multiple-hit games during the season, including three-hit showings against Northeastern State, Indianapolis, Saint Joseph’s and Quincy when he drove in a season-high four runs…was one of two Miners with at least four RBI in a game during the season.

AT REDLANDS: Played one season at Redlands, where he was one of the top players on that squad at the third base position.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-state selection for Class 2A during his prep days in Texas at Gunter High School.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 17, 1986 in McKinney, Texas...son of Terry and Sandra Redden...majoring in civil engineering.
