Biography

2009: Batted .270 in 19 games during his first season at S&T…started in 12 games behind the plate and made only one error in 91 chances while throwing out six runners trying to steal…had two-hit games late in the season against Rockhurst and Northern Kentucky…drove in his only runs of the season in each half of a doubleheader against McKendree.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Ill., where he played the catcher position…had six runs batted in during the 2008 season…hit .243 with eight RBI as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played catcher at Roncalli Catholic High School and for the Crimson Pride summer league team in Omaha.

PERSONAL: Son of Tom Klabunde…majoring in architectural engineering.
