Biography
2017: Was an honorable mention All-GLVC selection after setting several school records during the year…set new marks for passing yards and total offense in a career as he completed 217-of-346 passes for 3,165 yards and 22 touchdowns…also ran for five touchdowns during the year…threw for at least 300 yards on six occasions, led by a 374-yard effort against Northwood…also threw for 357 against West Florida and for 333 with four scoring passes against Indianapolis…completed an 89-yard scoring pass against Southwest Baptist that matched the third-longest pass play in school history.
2016: Completed 56.1 percent of his passes (166-of-296) for 2,178 yards and 21 touchdowns in his first season as a full-time starter behind center…threw for better than 200 yards in seven of his 10 starts, with a season-high 282 yards in the season-ending win at Quincy…threw at least two touchdown passes seven times, including four in the victory over Lincoln to earn GLVC “Player of the Week” honors...had at least two touchdown throws in each of the first four games of the season; coupled with a four-touchdown game in the 2015 season finale, he became just the fourth quarterback in Miner history with multiple scoring passes in five straight games.
2015: Saw playing time in eight games in 2015 and started the season finale against Quincy, where he completed 20-of-33 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns to earn GLVC "Player of the Week" honors...connected on 33-of-58 passes (56.9 percent) for 517 yards and seven scores; also had touchdown passes against Chadron State, McKendree and Indianapolis...scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Miners in the win at Truman State...
2014: Redshirted for the season.
High School: Named as his team’s offensive most valuable player following his senior year after earning first-team all-conference honors…was a second-team all-league selection after his junior year…completed 55.4 percent of his passes for 1,790 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012 while as a punter, averaged 36.8 yards per punt with a long punt of 63 yards.
Personal: Attended Dickinson High School, where his coach was John Snelson…son of Marcus and Gina Swart…majoring in petroleum engineering at Missouri S&T.
