AT REDLANDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Finished the 2013 season with a 3-1 record and 2.22 earned run average in 24 1/3 innings of work…struck out 15 hitters in that span …pitched in eight games during the season…recorded a 5-2 record with a 3.27 earned run average in nine games during the 2012 season, striking out 34 hitters in 44 innings of work…allowed just 16 earned runs in his nine appearances that year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Union High School, where he was part of a state championship team in 2010…earned his team’s most valuable player award during his freshman season and was named as the junior varsity pitcher of the year for that campaign.
PERSONAL: Son of Dale and Susan Smith…majoring in petroleum engineering.
