Biography

2007-08: Earned All-America honors in three events, the 200-yard backstroke and 200- and 400-yard medley relays…led off both of the Miner relay teams that set school records…had a 51.38 split in the 400-medley relay to help S&T finish third in the event…took seventh in the 200-backstroke with a personal best time of 1:49.72 in the finals…competed in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly at nationals…finished fifth in the 100- and 200-backstroke and seventh in the 100-yard butterfly at the NSISC Championships.

2006-07: Earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 200-backstroke at the NCAA Division II Championships…posted a time of 1:52.97 in that event at the meet, just off his best seasonal time of 1:52.04…also competed in the 200-individual medley at the national meet…had three finishes among the top eight at the NSISC meet, taking second in the 400-medley relay, third in the 200-backstroke and fourth in the 100-back.

2005-06: Had a solid freshman year in the Miner program...made the B-cut for the national meet in both backstroke events and the 200-individual medley...finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke, sixth in the 100-backstroke and ninth in the 200-IM at the NSISC meet...named to the All-New South team following the conference meet.

PERSONAL: Born June 26, 1987 in Springfield, Mo....son of Don and Josephine Kammer...was an all-state, all-district and all-conference swimmer at Lafayette High School, winning the state title in the 100-yard backstroke as a senior...also finished third on an individual basis in the 200-individual medley and was part of a state title quartet in the 200-yard freestyle relay...also had a second place showing in the 200-medley relay...majoring in civil engineering.
