Biography

2008-09: Finished his first season with the Miners by averaging in double figures in the scoring column, posting 10.2 points per game…also averaged 5.7 rebounds per contest…scored a season-high 24 points in a double overtime contest against Drury, one of the 14 times he scored in double figures…also had three games with double figures in rebounding with a high of 15 in the season opener against Harding…had a double-double in that game as well as in the win over Indianapolis with 15 points and 14 boards…hit two free throws with2.2 seconds left on the clock to give S&T a 69-68 win at St. Edward’s…shot a team-best 53.7 percent from the floor, 38.5 percent from three-point range and 67.8 percent at the free throw line…went 44-of-56 at the line after the Christmas break (78.6 percent)…also had 32 assists, 15 blocked shots and 10 steals…blocked four shots against Rockhurst.
AT SAINT LOUIS: Spent two seasons at Saint Louis University, playing in 22 games last season for head coach Rick Majerus…shot 46 percent from the floor and 75 percent at the free throw line…played in 21 games as a freshman under Brad Soderburg.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a Street and Smith’s honorable mention All-America player at Linn High School, where he averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and four assists per game to lead his team to a 26-4 record as a senior…was a first-team Missouri Class 3 all-state player as named by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association and second-team selection by the Missouri Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association…played his first three prep seasons at Helias High School in Jefferson City.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 16, 1987 in Jefferson City, Mo. …son of John and Lori Knollmeyer…older brother of S&T freshman forward Jonathan Knollmeyer…majoring in information systems technology.
