Biography
2012-13: Knar has become one of the top three-point shooters in school history rising up to second on the all-time list...she appeared in 28 games with five starts and averaged 9.0 points per game...she tied the school record with seven three’s made and scored a career-high 23 points in the win at Saint Joseph’s on Jan. 10...she also had career-highs in rebounds (6) and field goals made (8) in that game as well...she dished out a career-high three assists in the win against Illinois Springfield on Jan. 19...she was one of the top three-point shooters in the GLVC last season.
2011-12: Knar played in all 27 games and started the last four of those...she averaged 5.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game...she was the team's top three-point threat as she connected on 38 percent of her attempts...she is currently ninth on the all-time list for three-pointers made in school history with 87...she made a season-high four three's against Illinois Springfield on February 4...she reached double figures in scoring four times last season and had a season-high of 12 in that same game against the Prairie Stars...she matched her career-high of three rebounds three times last season...she also had 12 steals and three blocked shots as well.
2010-11: Knar played in all 28 games coming off the bench to average 7.2 points and 0.9 rebounds per game...she scored a career-high 22 points and tied a school record with seven three’s in the 74-70 win at Southern Indiana...she shot nearly 40 percent from behind the arc this season and made at least one triple in all but five games...scored in double figures eight times during the season.
High School: Knar averaged 13.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists as a junior at Mundelein High School for head coach Brian Evans team...she was the team MVP, leading scorer, rebounder and steals getter...received the team’s hustle award and was a first team all-conference selection...she was also named to the Daily Herald and New Sun all-area teams as well as being honorable mention all-state...did not play as a senior suffering a season ending injury before the basketball season began
Personal: Daughter of Richard and Theresa Knar..majoring in biologial sciences...her father played basketball for Miner head coach Jim Glash at Illinois-Chicago and her mother played softball at UIC.
