2012-13: Placed sixth in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the NSISC Championships, posting a seasonal-best time of 9:44.75 in the process…also had an seventh place finish in the 1,650-freestyle and an eighth place showing in the 500-freestyle…earned an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 500-freestyle with his time of 4:39.79 at the NSISC meet and also posted marks of 16:19.51 in the 1,650-free and 1:55.83 in the 200-yard butterfly.

2011-12: Was among the members of the Miners' third-place team in the 200-yard medley relay at the NSISC meet, which posted a seasonal-best time of 1:32.35 at that meet...had an eighth-place finish individually in the 200-yard butterfly...also scored in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:57.74, as well as in the 100-yard butterfly...had a top mark of 51.68 in the 100-butterfly and 1:54.93 in the 200-fly...was part of the Miners' 800-freestyle relay team that won the consolation final at the NSISC meet.

2010-11: Competed in the butterfly and backstroke events...had top times of the season of 51.48 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly and 1:54.40 in the 200-butterfly...also competed in the 500-yard freestyle during the NSISC meet.

PERSONAL: Son of Alfredo Martinez and Maricela Aguilar...attended Instituto Cumbres San Javier in Mexico City, where he was named as his team's top athlete for four years...also competed for Legionarios de Cristo, where he earned 17 gold medals and four silvers in various national competitions in Mexico...majoring in mechanical engineering.
