Missouri S&T Athletics

Named to the Daktronics All-Midwest region and All-Great Lakes Valley Conference first teams in 2011…finished the season with four goals and an assist for nine points…named as the GLVC’s “Player of the Week” following the opening weekend of the 2011 campaign after S&T picked up wins over nationally-ranked Truman State and Lindenwood…scored both of S&T’s goals in the win over Lindenwood…also scored against William Jewell and Kentucky Wesleyan; goal vs. KWC came in the final minute of regulation time to force overtime in an eventual Miner win...earned All-America honors along the back line for his performance during the 2010 season...named to the Daktronics All-America third team as a center back as part of a unit that finished among the national leaders on the defensive side, including a school record 11 shutouts...scored four goals during the season and added two assists...scored the first two goals for S&T in its GLVC Tournament win over Bellarmine and also tallied goals against Saint Joseph's (only goal of the game) and Indianapolis...was S&T's third-leading scorer with 10 points...was named to the All-GLVC first team...played in eight games as a freshman and had an assist...picked up his assist at Kentucky Wesleyan...earned first-team all-state and all-district honors as a defender in Missouri Class 3 in 2008…was also named to the all-state second team as a junior….played on a team that reached the state quarterfinals before falling in a 1-0 game to eventual state champion Rockhurst…was also a first-team all-conference pick in the Suburban Big Six Conference in the Kansas City area and was selected as the league’s defensive player of the year.

Personal: Son of Bruce and Teresa Brinkmeyer…attended Oak Park High School…majoring in civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
