Biography

2012: Finished with a 2-1 record and 4.95 earned run average in 19 appearances, all out of the bullpen…picked up his wins against College of the Ozarks and Quincy…struck out 12 hitters in 20 innings of work…had a stretch of six consecutive games without allowing an earned run.

2011: Posted a 5-1 record and 1.78 earned run average in 21 appearances, all in relief…threw 35 1/3 innings in that role with a season-high five innings against defending national champion Southern Indiana…was the winning pitcher in both games of the Miners’ April 26 doubleheader sweep at Bellarmine, as he allowed only two hits in five innings in the two contests…also picked up wins against Quincy, Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis…struck out a season-high four hitters at Oakland City…opposing hitters batted just .207 against him, the lowest mark on the Miner pitching staff.

2010: Appeared in eight games during the season and threw 7 2/3 innings in those outings...had two strikeouts…had two-inning outings against William Woods and Southern Indiana.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-conference honors in the Suburban South Conference as a utility player at Northwest High School…also landed second-team all-district honors as a pitcher…batted .351 in his senior year with two home runs and 22 runs batted in…recorded a 2-4 record as a pitcher with a 4.38 earned run average and 37 strikeouts in 48 innings of work…was 2-3 as a pitcher with 22 strikeouts in 36 innings as a junior.

PERSONAL: Son of David and Janis Korn…majoring in electrical engineering.
