LIBERTY, Mo. & QUINCY, Ill.  —  Missouri S&T Men's Soccer enters the second week of Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) undefeated, carrying a 3-0 record with them to matches at William Jewell and Quincy this week.

About the Miners
S&T has climbed to No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll, the team's highest ranking since the 2011 season. The Miners are undefeated through their first three matches of the 2026 campaign, defeating Northeastern State, Davenport and Upper Iowa. S&T has allowed just one goal this season, which came in the first five minutes of the season opener. Since then, the Miners have gone 265 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal while outscoring opponents 8-0.

The Miners rank second in the GLVC in scoring average, averaging 2.67 goals per match. Mike Banasik (Hjoerring, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) leads the team in both goals and points, recording three goals for six points this season. Five additional Miners have found the back of the net, showcasing the team's balanced attack and ability to score from throughout the lineup. In goal, Bruhn's .857 save percentage is tied for third-best in the conference, contributing to S&T's lead-best .875 save percentage.

About the Cardinals
William Jewell is seeking their first win and their first goal of the season this week after being shutout in their first three matches of the season. They are 0-3 this year, having dropped matches against Newman, Fort Hays State, and Lewis. The Cardinals are tied for third in the league for save this season, making 19 stops so far.

About the Hawks
Quincy is 2-1-1 this season and opened conference play with a 2-0 victory over McKendree last week. The Hawks dropped their season opener vs Wisconsin-Parkside 1-2, but rebounded with a 5-1 victory over St. Cloud State and a tie with Purdue Northwest. The Hawks lead the conference in both save and points this season with 21 and 30, respectively. Leo Cann leads the conference in both shots (19) and goals score (4).

What's Next

The Miners return home next week to host Rockhurst on Wednesday, Sept. 16, before welcoming Illinois Springfield on Saturday, Sept. 19.
