ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T men's soccer returns to Allgood-Bailey Stadium this week for two Great Lakes Valley Conference contests, starting Wednesday against Drury before hosting Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.
The Miners enter the week with a 6-3 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference play following a tough loss on the road against Maryville.
Mike Banasik (Hjoerring, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) leads Missouri S&T offensively with six goals. He added one to his statistics with the only goal against Maryville.
Kellen Douglas (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) has contributed nine points and a 0.533 shots-on-goal percentage. Defensively,
Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) has recorded 22 saves through nine matches.
Missouri S&T opens the week Wednesday when it hosts Drury at 7:30 p.m. at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.
The Panthers enter Wednesday's matchup with a 7-1-1 overall record and a 5-0-1 conference mark after a 2-0 shutout win against Lewis. Drury is led offensively by Steen Voller, who has recorded four goals and 11 points, while Eyal Kibrik has added four assists.
In goal, Ben Barnett has three shutouts and has made 15 saves over eight games.
The Miners will close out the week Saturday when they welcome the University of Indianapolis for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Greyhounds enter the weekend with a 4-2-4 overall record and a 3-1-3 conference mark. UIndy is coming off a 1-1 tie with Southwest Baptist and is led offensively by Joey Longo with four goals and nine points.
Saturday's contest will be the 24th meeting between Missouri S&T and UIndy. The Miners last faced the Greyhounds on Oct. 10 last season, tying 1-1.
What's Next
Following this week's two home contests, Missouri S&T will return to action Oct. 7 when it hosts McKendree at 7:30 p.m.
