ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T men's soccer will hit the road for a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference matches this week, beginning Wednesday at Southwest Baptist before traveling to St. Louis Saturday to take on Maryville.

The Miners, who enter the week with a 5-2 overall, 2-2 GLVC record, will open the week against Southwest Baptist at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bolivar, Mo.

Missouri S&T is coming off a 4-2 win over Illinois Springfield on Saturday. Ian Conner (Las Vegas, NV/Northwest Career & Technical Academy) led the Miners offensively with a goal, an assist, and two shots on goal. Goalkeeper three recorded saves.

Southwest Baptist enters Wednesday's match with a 4-2-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 mark in GLVC play. The Bearcats are coming off a 1-0 victory over Lewis on Saturday, with Luis Sanchez-Barbudo Cruz scoring the game's lone goal.

The Miners last faced off against SBU in November of last season, where the dropped the game 1-0. However, in the history of these teams, the Miners have 14 wins and only two losses.  

The Miners will then travel to St. Louis for a Saturday matchup with Maryville at 2:30 p.m. at Lonnie Folks Field.

Maryville enters the week at 5-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in conference. The Saints are coming off a 2-1 win against McKendree and will host Missouri S&T as part of their Homecoming weekend.

Last season the Miners dropped a game against Maryville 1-0. In the history of the teams, S&T has nine wins and 13 losses against the Saints.

Following Saturday's contest, the Miners will return home Wednesday, Sept. 30, to host Drury at 7:30 p.m.
