ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T men's soccer returns home this week for a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference matchups, beginning Wednesday when the Miners welcome Rockhurst to the S&T Soccer Field for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. S&T will then close out the week Saturday afternoon against Illinois Springfield at 2:30 p.m. at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.
Missouri S&T enters Wednesday's contest with a 4-1 overall record and a 2-1 mark in conference play. The Miners are coming off a tough loss at Quincy University, where they dropped their first match of the season 1-0.
Mike Banasik (Hjoerring, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) has paced the Miners' attack early this season with three goals and six points, while Ian Connor has contributed one goal and two assists.
Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) has anchored the S&T defense with 13 saves and two shutouts.
Rockhurst enters the matchup with a 2-3-1 record and a 1-1-1 record in conference. The Hawks are led by Sam McIntosh, who has one goal, while Mattia Petricca has added three shots on goal with a 0.750 shots-on-goal percentage.
Missouri S&T and Rockhurst last met on
Oct. 31, 2025, with
a 1- 0 loss in Kansas City, Mo. The Miners hold a
6-27 record in the all-time series.
S&T will return to Allgood-Bailey Stadium Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. matchup with Illinois Springfield.
The Prairie Stars enter the weekend with a 0-4-1 record and a 0-1-1 record in GLVC play. Gentil Selemani leads Illinois Springfield offensively with two goals and four points, while Kevin Kardel has recorded 28 saves with a .683 save percentage.
The two teams last met on
Oct. 5, 2025, resulting in a 3-2 win in Springfield, Mo. Missouri S&T owns a
12-3-6 record against Illinois Springfield.
