KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- United Soccer Coaches has announced it's first national rankings of the 2026 regular season, naming Missouri S&T 22nd in the poll.
The Miners hold a 2-0 record after the opening week of competition, defeating Northeastern State 2-1 and Davenport 5-0. S&T's
Mike Banasik (Hjoerring, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) recorded three goals over the two matches, earning him Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
S&T is second in the GLVC for goals scored with seven. Banasik is tied for first in goals scored with three, while
Luke Giesing (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) is tied for second for assists with two.
The Miners are set to face Upper Iowa at home this Friday for their GLVC opener.
