ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T Men's Swimming will host its first two home meets of the season this week, welcoming Drury at 5 p.m. for its home opener Friday before William Jewell comes to town for a 1 p.m. meet Saturday.
The Miners opened the 2026-27 season with a win last week, defeating the Quincy Hawks 115-90 in a dual meet on the road. Bryce Naquin (Thibodaux, LA/Thibodaux) shined in the meet, winning both the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle to help the Miners extend their winning streak over Quincy to five meets.
Drury will provide a difficult test, with the Panthers ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll conducted by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. They also boast one of the top swimmers in Division II in Ivan Adamchuk. The senior from Belarus has earned three consecutive College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors and finished in the top six in six different events at last season's NCAA Division II Championships.
Saturday's meet will mark William Jewell's season opener. The Cardinals finished ninth at the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championships last season, recording four top-10 finishes. The team returns Caleb Warner, a junior breaststroke/freestyle swimmer who led the Cardinals in scoring last season. Lucas Murcia Dominguez is also expected to be a key contributor, with the junior from Barcelona, Spain coming off a season in which he finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke at the GLVC Championships.

The Miners' next meet will be in Lawrence, Kansas when they take on South Dakota on October 16 and 17.
