10/2/2026 7:00:00 AM

QUINCY, Ill.  --  Missouri S&T Men's Swimming kicks off their 2026-27 campaign on the road, competing at Quincy University at 1 p.m. this Saturday.

About the Miners
Missouri S&T received 12 votes in The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association poll, narrowly missing the top 25. The Miners were one of five Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) teams to receive votes, with Drury leading the conference with 243 points to earn the No. 1 spot in the poll.

Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) headlines the Miners' returning group, entering the new season with three national championship appearances over the last three seasons. His strongest performance of the 2025-26 season came on January 23, when he broke four S&T pool records on Senior Day. Oscar Iden (Oslo, Norway/Oslo Private Gymnasium) also set a new pool record that day, swimming the 100-yard butterfly in 48.07 seconds, qualifying him for a Division II B-cut in the event.

Another key group to watch this season is S&T's 200-yard freestyle relay team. Wiedemeier, Grady Ashley (St. Louis, MO/Kirkwood), Oskar Fridsell (Solna, Sweden/Solna Gymnasium) and Gabriel Peragallo (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colégio Santo Antônio) set a new S&T pool record on January 23, finishing the relay in 1:23.04.
