Swim Records 7 Pool Records on Senior Day

1/23/2026 8:05:00 PM

ROLLA, MO  --  Missouri S&T men's swimming ended their 2025-26 regular season on a high note, defeating Rockhurst 157-50 and Southwest Baptist 164-44 while breaking seven S&T pool records.

Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) broke the first pool record of the day, completing the 200 free in 1:39.32 to edge out Aidan Walters (Olathe, KS/Olathe East) old record. Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) set the next pool record, beating a mark in the 200 IM held by Drury's Andrew Rodriguez by almost three full seconds. Oscar Iden (Oslo, Norway/Oslo Private Gymnasium) followed, breaking his own pool record in the 100 fly and recording an NCAA Division II B cut time as well. Jordan Christensen (Coralville, IA/Iowa West) set a pool record as well, finishing the 100 breast in 54.2 to beat the pool record that was previously held by teammate Marco Flores (San Pedro Sula, Honduras/SERAN Private Bilingual School)

Wiedemeier would add two more pool records, one in the 100 free with a time of 44.91 and the other in the 50 free as the lead off in the 200 medley relay with a time of 20.23. His time in the 200 medley relay helped him and teammates Grady Ashley (St. Louis, MO/Kirkwood), Oskar Fridsell (Solna, Sweden/Solna Gymnasium), and Gabriel Peragallo (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colégio Santo Antônio) set a new pool record in that event as well, ending with a time of 1:23.04 to beat the previous record by over six seconds. The Miners ended the day with seven pool records, four personal bests, and twelve season bests.
