Miners hold a 0-1 GLVC record and a 2-1-1 overall mark as they return home after opening conference play on the road at Lincoln, where Joao Vieira (Punta del Este, Uruguay/International College) scored his first goal of the season in a 3-1 setback on Sunday.

Vieira converted from the penalty spot late in the first half, while Mike Banasik (Loekkegade, Denmark/Hjoering Gymnasium) and Brendan Owens (St. Louis, MO/Fort Zumwalt South) each recorded two shots on goal as S&T applied pressure throughout the second period. Goalkeeper Cavitt Bruhn (Plano, TX/Plano) finished with five saves to keep the Miners within striking distance.
