ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's soccer head coach Matthew Perry announced the addition of two new signees to the 2026 recruiting class, as Ellen Cuendet and Cate Jernigan have committed to join the Miners next fall.

Ellen Cuendet | Defender | Wildwood, Mo. | Lafayette High School / STLDA
Cuendet joins Missouri S&T from Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Mo., and competes at the club level for STLDA. A standout defender, she helped lead Lafayette to a third-place finish at the 2023 MSHSAA Class 4A State Championships and earned All-Conference and All-District honors in both 2023 and 2024.

Off the field, Cuendet is a member of the National Honor Society, reflecting her commitment to excellence in the classroom as well as on the pitch.

"Ellen really impressed me when she came on her visit," said head coach Matthew Perry. "She is a tough, gritty, hardworking player who will fit right into our culture here. I am very excited to have her join the squad next fall."

Cate Jernigan | Defender | Overland Park, Kan. | Blue Valley North High School / Blue Valley ECNL
Jernigan comes to S&T from Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kan., where she earned Second Team All-EKL and All-State Honorable Mention honors. She plays club soccer for Blue Valley ECNL, helping anchor the team's back line against top regional competition.

In addition to her on-field achievements, Jernigan is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized on the Honor Roll for her academic success.

"CJ is a player we are delighted to get in," Perry said. "She is a smart, composed, ball-playing defender who can slide right into our way of playing. I can't wait to see what she can achieve here at S&T."

Cuendet and Jernigan join a growing 2025 signing class as Perry and the Miners look to build on one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by the team's GLVC Semifinal appearance this fall.
