ROLLA, Mo. – On the heels of two big weekend wins, including one over 13^th-ranked Lewis, Missouri S&T's Madelyn Mason (Mount Horeb, WI/Mount Horeb) has been selected as the Molten/Great Lakes Valley Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Mason had a .339 attack percentage on 25 kills in the two wins, a straight-set victory over Indianapolis and Saturday's four-set victory over Lewis at Gibson Arena.  Mason had nine kills with only two errors in the win over UIndy, then followed it up with a 16-kill performance Saturday as the Miners got back to the .500 mark in GLVC play with the win over the Flyers.

She hit .394 in Saturday's game and had five of her 16 kills in the fourth set to help the Miners close out the victory.  Mason is the first Miner to earn a weekly award from the conference this season.

Missouri S&T will return to action Saturday when it faces Maryville in St. Louis in a 3 p.m. match.
