ROLLA, Mo. – For the second time in as many season, Missouri S&T volleyball's Payton Gannaway (Lawrence, KS/Lawrence Free State) was selected to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors Association of America (CoSIDA) All-Academic First Team for volleyball.
 
Gannaway led the Miners this season with 413 kills and 59 service aces and was second in the GLVC in both statistical categories. The Lawrence Kansas native recorded eight double-doubles this season and posted double-figure kill totals in 25 or 29 matches this season and logged 20 or better on six occasions. Her 69 total blocks were third on the team this season. Gannaway is majoring in Biochemical Engineering at Missouri S&T.
 
The 2021 Academic All-District Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for the combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Those honorees will be announced in December.
