ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's soccer team will look for a fresh start to the 2018 season as it opens up Great Lakes Valley Conference play this weekend, beginning with a home contest Friday against Bellarmine at 7:30 p.m. at the S&T Soccer Field.
Following Friday's contest, the Miners will hit the road for a game Sunday against Quincy with a start time of 2:30 p.m.
The Miners are looking for their first victory of the season after suffering a 2-1 loss Sunday in their home opener to Upper Iowa. After tying the game on a goal in the 32

Bellarmine is currently 1-2 on the season, with back-to-back losses to Trevecca Nazarene and Lee after a season-opening win over Cedarville. The Knights have scored just twice in their first three contests, getting goals from Laslo Wagner and Nate Girao, the latter of which was a game-winner in the 80
th minutes in Bellarmine's lone win of the year.
Connor Range has played all 270 minutes in goal and owns a 1.67 goals against average with five saves for the Knights.
Quincy is 1-3 on the season heading into a game Friday at Rockhurst; the Hawks picked up their lone win over former conference rival Wisconsin-Parkside on Sept. 2. The Hawks have scored in every game this season, but have also allowed nine goals in those first four outings.
Aubrey Reis is among a group of players tied for second in the conference with three goals – a group that includes S&T's
Austin Parks (Rolla, MO/Rolla) – while Tucker Hayden has a goal and two assists for four points. Goalkeeper Adam Whybrow has made 19 saves and holds a 2.25 goals against average on the year.
