ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's swimming team will host its final home meet of the 2017-18 season – and last meet prior to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships – when it takes on Truman State Friday evening at the S&T Pool in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
Friday's meet will also the Miners' annual pizza night prior to the meet that starts at 6 p.m., as the first 100 students with a valid Missouri S&T identification card will receive a slice of pizza and a drink from Miner Corporate Club sponsors Papa John's and Ozarks Coca-Cola. The items will be served beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Two nationally ranked teams will square off in the pool Friday, with the Miners coming in ranked at No. 17 in the latest College Swimming rankings and Truman checking in at No. 21. The Miners enter the meet with seven individuals who have reached at least an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying, either on an individual basis or in a relay, while Truman has had four qualify to date on an individual basis.
