PEORIA, Ill. – Missouri S&T held the advantage over Bradley in the early stages of Wednesday night's exhibition contest, but the Braves took control of matters by holding the Miners without a field goal over the final 10 minutes of the first half and went on to a 79-47 victory at Carver Arena.

The Miners held the lead for most of the first eight minutes of the game, taking a four-point lead at 12-8 following a three-point basket by Ervin Sarajlic (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) exactly six minutes into the half.  S&T still led until a put- back by Elijah Childs at the 12:14 mark tied the game as part of a 10-0 Bradley run to take the lead.

Dulan Scott (Chicago, IL/Farragut Academy) hit a three-pointer with 10:05 to play in the half to cut the Bradley lead to three, but that turned out to be S&T's final field goal of the opening half as the Braves (5-1) rattled off the next 17 points to take a 20-point lead until Chris Harris (Antioch, IL/Lake Forest Academy)' two free throws in the final minute ended the run.

The Miners did have the lead down the 16 at one point in the second half, but the Braves shot over 50 percent from the field for a good portion of the half and continued to add to their lead in the process.

S&T shot just 30 percent in the contest and was outrebounded by a 51-28 margin by the Braves, who hit 46.4 percent of their attempts from the floor on the night.

Harris and Romain Louiserre (La Ferte Alais, France/Fredrick Fays) led the Miners with 13 points apiece.

Missouri S&T, who is 1-2 on the season, will return to action Friday at the California Baptist Classic when it faces the host school – ranked seventh in NCAA Division II – in a 9 p.m. (Central time) contest.
