ROLLA, Mo. – Entering the week as one of three teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference teams that has yet to suffer a loss, Missouri S&T's men's soccer team will complete a four-game stretch on the road this weekend when it takes on Quincy and Truman State.

The Miners, who are 2-0-3 overall and 1-0-2 in the GLVC, will take on Quincy at 7:30 p.m. in Quincy, Ill., before wrapping up the two-week stretch on the road with a 2:30 p.m. contest against Truman in Kirksville on Sunday.

S&T got a goal from Unnar Ulfarsson (Gardabaer, Iceland/Fjolnir Reykjavik) with just under four minutes remaining in the second overtime period Sunday to pull out a 1-0 win at Lewis for its first conference win, which came after it had played to scoreless ties against Indianapolis and Wisconsin-Parkside to open league play.  The Miners have now blanked their last four opponents and will put run on the line Friday against a Quincy squad fresh off its first GLVC win of the year, a 3-1 victory Sunday over Bellarmine.

The Hawks, 3-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the GLVC, have outscored their opponents 10-9 this season and are paced in the scoring department by Taylor Reis with three goals and Pete Condol with two.   Reis scored the tying goal Sunday after Bellarmine had taken the initial lead in the game for a team that has scored six goals over its three contests.

Goalkeeper Nate Griffin has a 1.45 goals against average and has made 24 saves in 560 minutes of action.

Truman is 3-2-1 on the year, 1-2 in the GLVC and had a modest two-game winning streak snapped in a 3-0 loss to Southern Indiana Sunday.  Derek Merry leads the Bulldogs in scoring with two goals and an assist, while Tristyn Hasmer – whose goal decided a 1-0 win over Bellarmine Friday – and Matt Yankowitz have two goals apiece.

Zac Suazo has seen the bulk of the playing time in goal for Truman and has a 1.64 goals against average and 18 saves.

S&T goalkeeper Aaron Hohenstein (St. Louis, MO/Lutheran South) has the GLVC's top goals against average mark of 0.17 – one goal allowed in 526-plus minutes of action – and is tied for the league lead in saves with 30 as the Miner defense has recorded the four consecutive shutouts.

On the offensive side, Felipe Andrade (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) has a team-high three goals, while Ulfarrson – who has an assist this year to go with his goal on Sunday – and Will McIntyre (Queenstown, New Zealand) have also scored.  Matt Kilwin (St. Louis, MO/Chaminade College Prep), who had the assist on Sunday's game-winner, has two assists to lead S&T.

Besides the Miners, the only other GLVC teams without a loss to date are Rockhurst and Drury, who both 6-0 overall and tied with Missouri-St. Louis for the conference lead at 4-0.  S&T's current five-game unbeaten streak is its longest since 2011 and the Miners are seeking their first six-game run without a loss since 2005.
