ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T made quick work of Calvary University Saturday afternoon at Billy Key Court, running out to a quick 13-0 lead and never seeing the lead dip below double figures in a
103-44 win.
The Miners got three-point baskets from
Telloy Simon (Kitchener, Ont./St. Mary's),
Brooks Gerrity (Chesterfield, Mo./Marquette) and
Ervin Sarajlic (St. Louis, Mo./Oakville) on their first three possessions of the game and had the lead to 13 following baskets by
Juwan Miller (Kitchener, Ont./Huron Heights) and Simon before the Warriors got their first points on the boards at the 15:39 mark.
S&T continued to build the advantage throughout the half, getting to 20 by the midway point and 30 before the first half ended, largely behind the shooting of

The Miners, who won for the third straight time to open the 2016-17 season, shot 53.2 percent in the game and outrebounded the Warriors 51-26 as four players scored in double figures.
Sarajlic led the way with a career-high 21 points, connecting on seven-of-eight from three-point range as the Miners hit 14 treys in the contest. S&T also got 19 points from
Quinn Poythress (Jackson, Mo./Notre Dame Regional), 17 from Myers and 13 from Simon.
KeAndre Morrison led Calvary (1-2) with 15 points, as the Warriors made just 33.3 percent of their shots on the afternoon.
