James Holloway (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Notre Dame Regional) for the victory. The following night against seventh-ranked Lindenwood, Morris scored again in the final minute of regulation time to extend the game, only to see the Lions win the contest just before the first overtime period ended.
Morris scored his goals on assists from
Martin Klevjer (Trondheim, Norway/) on Saturday and
Ryan Lawhead (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) in Sunday's match. Holloway, who handled the goalkeeping duties for both games, finished the weekend with a 0.95 goals against average.
Wisconsin-Parkside opened its season last week with a pair of one-sided wins, a 6-0 victory over Saint Francis (Ill.) and a 9-1 triumph over Robert Morris-Lake County. Nemanja Medic and Abraham Kanneh also scored four times each for the Rangers.
Lewis was ranked 15
th in the NSCAA pre-season rankings but dropped out after splitting its first two games of the year. The loss came at the hands of now fourth-ranked Saginaw Valley State by a count of 2-0, then the Flyers topped Alderson-Broaddus 3-1 to even its mark at 1-1.
