Krista Haslag (Linn, Mo./Helias ) received another postseason accolade on Monday as she was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American third team. She becomes the first player in the program's six year history to receive All-American honors.
Haslag finished the season leading the Great Lakes Valley Conference in hitting percentage (.342) and blocks per set with 1.34. She is currently 10
th in all of Division II in blocks per set and her hitting percentage is in the top third of the nation. She was second on the team averaging 2.79 kills/set and set single season school records for assisted blocks (142) and total blocks (159). She was a first team All-GLVC selection and the conference's co-freshman of the year.
The Miners finished their 2012 season with a 20-13 mark, 15-3 GLVC, were West Division champs for a second straight year and advanced to the GLVC semifinals.
