LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- After falling behind by two goals at the half, the Missouri S&T men's soccer team came back after the break and claimed a 2-2 tie with Bellarmine in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Friday evening.

The Miners got goals from Garrett Stevens (Richland, Wash./Richland) and Andy Held (Alton, Ill./Alton) in the second half -- the latter with 46 seconds to play in regulation time -- to send the game into overtime. Neither team scored in the 20 minutes of overtime.

Bellarmine jumped on top 7:44 into the game when Ross Hopkins put in a shot from the top of the box. The Knights then extended their lead 23 minutes later when Brad Barraclough tipped in a pass from Hopkins to give the hosts the 2-0 advantage they would take to the break.

S&T cut the lead in half just 1:42 into the second half when Stevens took a pass from J.J. Bilyeu (St. Louis, Mo./Christian Brothers) and hit a shot by Knight goalkeeper Justin Welply.

Then as the game moved into the final minute, Held got to a rebound and put it by Welply to get the Miners even.

Bellarmine outshot the Miners 24-17 in the game; S&T goalkeeper Pat McNamee (Fenton, Mo./Vianney ) was credited with 10 saves in goal.
