The Miners' 2007-08 swimming team recorded the highest finish ever by a Miner team at an NCAA competition, placing second at the national meet that season behind 19 top-eight finishes among their 25 All-America efforts.  Zlatan Hamzic posted the highest finish individually among the Miners as he took second in the 200-yard breaststroke a day after taking third in the 100-breaststroke, while the Miners also had a third-place finish from its 400-yard medley relay team of Kyle Kammer, Hamzic, Paul Reinisch and David Sanchez-Turner and a trio of top-eight finishers in the 200-yard backstroke in Jeff Enge, Kammer and Aaron Schmidt.  Matt Hug earned six All-America awards during the four-day competition.
