Missouri S&T Athletics

Tibbits was a key member of the Lady Miner basketball program during the mid-1980s as the program developed into one of the best in the MIAA.  She finished with 1,202 points in her playing career, which made her the top scorer in program history when she finished her career in 1987.  A strong inside player, Tibbits shot better than 50 percent from the field in each of her last three seasons and was the leading scorer for the 1986-87 team that set a school record with 19 wins.  She was an honorable mention All-MIAA player in each of her final three seasons at UMR.
